Happy New Year!

This is delayed... but Happy 2014 everyone! What better way to kick off the new year than with rhinestones, the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette, and yummy food!

 For my makeup look, I decided to use my Vice 2 Palette in the shades Shellshock and Lovesick, and lined the outer edge of my eyes with Revlon rhinestones (applied with lash glue). I did my signature strong brow and a subtle contour with Laguna. For the lips, I mixed my Stila liquid lipstick in Beso with Urban Decay's lip lustre stick in Adrenaline.

 I got these earrings on sale at Charming Charlie, this and another pair for 6.99! They are everything... The photograph doesn't capture how much it sparkles!

We did a double date dinner with wonderful soon-to-be husbands... For the first course we had cheese fondu with apples, bread, pretzels, carrots, and broccoli for dipping.

 

For the main entree, we had bacon-wrapped filets with stuffed portobella mushrooms on top, twice baked potatoes, and cheddar bay biscuits (a Red Lobster copycat recipe). This plate was made up of 3/4 cheese...

As the night went on, I fell asleep and was woken up to have chocolate fondue before midnight. For this I made brownies to dip along with bananas, strawberries, marshmellows, and oreos. Oh my god... I want to go back to this night and eat it all again...

And when the clock struck 12 we celebrated with sparklers!

To drink that night I only had my Louis M Martini Cabernet, which my wonderful fiance bought for me... It is my favorite affordable red wine!

Winter Fashion!

Hey, beauties! So, uhm, it's cold outside... But that doesn't mean you can't still dress fashionable! In my upcoming post for CollegeFashionista, I chose this ensemble for my style guru bio. Here I am wearing a top from Forever21 as well as cardigan from there to stay warm, high-waisted white jeans from Urban Outfitters, and purse and boots from... you guessed it... forever 21! The earrings are from Claire's. Now here's the crazy part, the earrings were on sale for 3 dollars, the top I got for 6.99, and the jeans were on sale from 79 dollars down to a mere 6.49. Now that's bargain shopping. 

 

I also wanted to share with you guys my most recent impulse buy... This shoes from Charlotte Russe. Unfortunately, I have to return them, because I just can't function in 6.25 platform heels when I have a 15-month-old son. But oh my gosh do they look amazing!

 

 Seriously, these shoes define the "shoegasm"

Besides that, I also wanted to let you guys know that I have not forgotten about this blog.. It is just a really time consuming habit to get into! I'm taking 18 credits this next semester and working at Sephora on the weekends... so it will be a crazy time!
